What is Activia?
"Activia" is a series or brand of fermented milk products containing probiotic bifidobacteria Bifidus Actiregularis. The microorganism strains were developed at one of Danon's research centers and patented for exclusive use in Activia products.
The main difference from other fermented milk products presented on the Russian market is that Activia yogurt, in addition to lactic acid bacteria, contains probiotics. When they enter the gastrointestinal tract, they retain their viability and participate in the digestion process.
How to lose weight on yogurt
It is quite possible to lose weight on yogurt by following a simple diet.
. This diet is based on natural yogurt without additives or sweeteners. This product is truly universal, which can be consumed as an independent dish, can be used as sauces and dressings for salads of vegetables and fruits, and can be used to prepare very tasty low-calorie desserts.
It is believed that yogurt is very effective for weight loss. Back in the first half of the 20th century, overweight people in one of the German sanatoriums, under the guidance of nutritionist Seik, got rid of 6-8 kilograms in 10 days. For those losing weight, a special diet based on natural yogurt was developed. This diet remains relevant today. In addition to live yogurt, it includes chicken, fish, a large number of vegetables and fruits, and fruit juices.
How many calories are in yogurt used for dieting is also quite an important question
. It is advisable that the calorie content of yogurt does not exceed 60-70 kcal. Natural unsweetened yoghurts usually meet these requirements.
To lose weight on yogurt, you need to prepare 0.5 liters of live yogurt for each of the 10 days of the diet. For men, the daily intake of yogurt can be increased to 0.75 liters.
For lunch, you can eat 150 g (for men - 200 g) of boiled chicken or steamed fish with a portion of tomato and herb salad. Season the salad with 100 g of yogurt.
For dinner, prepare a cold soup from 250 ml of yogurt, cucumbers, bell peppers and herbs. If desired, you can add garlic. The soup can be replaced with a serving of salad from any fresh vegetables and herbs. Then you will use a little less yogurt. You can drink the remaining yogurt before bed if you feel hungry.
The calorie content of yogurt will be low, but its usefulness will be maximum if you prepare it yourself
. To do this, a special starter is placed in warm milk and kept at a temperature of 39-42 degrees for 4 to 8 hours. You can buy yogurt starter at a pharmacy. The amount of starter consumed per liter depends on the concentration of microorganisms, and must be indicated in the instructions. There are special yogurt makers for preparing yogurt at home; most models of modern multicookers also have the function of preparing yogurt.
Yogurt is a type of fermented milk product. Its difference from kefir or, say, yogurt is that it is fermented with the help of special bacteria. With a relatively low calorie content, yogurt has many beneficial properties due to its composition. It contains a lot of easily digestible protein, and the presence of special enzymes and bacteria in it allows it to be consumed even by people who have problems digesting lactose. It contains vitamins A, C, PP, B vitamins, choline, as well as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, iodine, copper, manganese, selenium, chromium, fluorine and others. The calcium contained in this fermented milk product is absorbed much better than calcium from regular milk or kefir. The lactic acid bacteria it contains give yogurt a special benefit – they improve digestion and promote efficient bowel function.
How does Activia work?
Most people on the planet have digestive problems. Poor environment, low-quality products, poor nutrition have a negative impact on the health of the entire body. Activia yogurt helps relieve such unpleasant symptoms as bloating, increased gas formation, rumbling and abdominal discomfort. It contains probiotics, which are vital for people with digestive problems. How does Activia work?
Most probiotic microorganisms do not enter the large intestine, but die in the acidic environment of the stomach. Bifidobacterium Actiregularis remains viable much longer. They increase the number of beneficial intestinal flora, thereby improving its functioning. In total, a 150 ml jar of Activia yogurt contains more than 10 billion bifidobacteria Bifidus Actiregularis. It has been clinically proven that by consuming this healthy product twice a day, you can get rid of unpleasant abdominal symptoms in just 4 weeks.

Can this product be prepared at home? Can! Here is one of the recipes:
Homemade yogurt:
Products:
- Milk -1 liter
- Yogurt starter - 1 bottle (capsule) - instead of starter, you can take ready-made yogurt without filler
Inventory:
- Pan (volume - 2-3 liters)
- Thermos (volume - 1-1.5 liters)
- Thermometer (electronic)
Milk is poured into a saucepan and brought to a boil over low heat (boil for 5 minutes). Then the milk is cooled to a temperature of 37-43 degrees, the foam is removed from it.
If you use dry starter, dilute it with a tablespoon of milk in a bottle, then pour it into the milk. (If you are using ready-made yogurt, pour the package into the milk and mix well with a whisk) The mixture of milk and starter is poured into a thermos, close the lid and leave for 5-6 hours
Attention! Do not move the thermos at this time so that the thickening process is not disrupted. The finished yogurt will become thick (it costs a spoon) and has a neutral taste
The yogurt is poured into a clean container, covered with a lid and placed in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours (there it will thicken slightly). You can add filler at your discretion - berries, chopped fruits, sugar or honey, chocolate, etc. And that's it! Eat healthy!
And the calorie content of homemade yogurt depends entirely on the fat content of the milk taken for its preparation. On average: 60-70 kcal per hundred grams.
