Pour in the cabbage rolls and simmer for about an hour over low heat. They can be served with mayonnaise or sour cream.

Cooking in a frying pan

This is the simplest cooking option, since you only need to chop the vegetables, and you don’t need to make any preparations.

What is necessary:

  • minced meat - half a kilo;
  • cabbage - half a small fork;
  • carrots and onions – 1 pc.;
  • rice – 75 g;
  • tomato paste – 2 tbsp. l.;
  • oil, salt and pepper - at personal discretion.

How to cook:

  1. Shred the cabbage. Chop the remaining vegetables.
  2. Add onions and carrots to rice and minced meat. Add salt, pepper and mix thoroughly.
  3. Divide the cabbage slices into three parts. Place the first one in an even layer on the bottom of the frying pan, then distribute the minced meat, then the second part of the cabbage, again the minced meat and the remaining cabbage.
  4. Dilute the tomato paste with a small amount of water and pour into the pan.
  5. Simmer for a quarter of an hour over low heat. Stir lightly, add laurel, pepper and spices.
  6. When the rice becomes soft, add salt and pepper.

Let the dish sit for at least a quarter of an hour.

Recipe with sour cream sauce

Sour cream sauce makes the dish more tender and gives it a special taste.

Required components:

  • minced pork - kilo;
  • cabbage - forks;
  • onion – 2 heads;
  • rice - a glass;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • sour cream and tomato juice - 1 tbsp each;
  • oil, salt and pepper - at personal discretion.

Sequencing:

  1. Boil the rice in salted water until half cooked. This will take approximately 6 - 7 minutes.
  2. Grate the onion and combine with the minced meat.
  3. Chop a head of cabbage.
  4. Rinse the rice with cold water. Combine the ingredients for cabbage rolls, beat in the eggs, salt and pepper and mix well.
  5. Form into oblong pieces and place in a greased pan. To prevent the mass from sticking to your hands, your palms need to be moistened in cold water.
  6. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes without sauce, so that the portions “set” and keep their shape.
  7. Combine sour cream with tomato juice.
  8. Pour the sauce over the contents of the pan and bake for about 40 minutes.

The gravy should be quite liquid and pink in color. If desired, you can add fried vegetables to it.

Serve the dish with chopped fresh vegetables.

Preparation

Boil the rice until half cooked in lightly salted water, then rinse and place in a colander to drain. You can use any rice, but long-grain rice is better (I use a mixture of basmati and brown rice). In total you will need 1 cup of ready-made, already cooked rice.

Chop the cabbage as thinly as possible. It is most convenient to use a grater designed for peeling carrots; you get thin, translucent slices that are almost invisible in the finished dish.

If the cabbage is not young, then pour boiling water over it for 5 minutes, then drain the water. Due to this, it will soften slightly, and most importantly, it will lose its bitterness.

Grate the carrots on a fine grater. You can finely chop the onion or grind it in a blender - it’s much faster and “lazier.”

Mix all the listed ingredients with minced chicken, add a couple of chicken eggs, salt and ground black pepper. By the way, if you prepare minced meat yourself, the fastest and most convenient way to grind chicken fillet is with a blender with a knife attachment; it copes with the task in 1-2 minutes.

The result will be homogeneous minced meat.

Form lazy cabbage rolls by dipping your hands in water to prevent the stuffing from sticking. Place them in a frying pan with heated vegetable oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.

For the sauce, mix in a bowl: water, tomato paste, sour cream, salt and sugar, beat with a fork until smooth. Pour the sauce over the fried products.

Determine the amount of filling to your own taste; it is not at all necessary that the liquid covers the cabbage rolls completely. Since they will be baked under the lid, the moisture will steam them and bring them to readiness in any case.

Cover with a lid and bake for 40-45 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees (or in a slow cooker on the “Bake” program - time 45 minutes).

Lazy cabbage rolls with minced chicken are very tasty, tender and incredibly juicy. Try it!
