And if you add mushrooms to it, then it will be, as they used to say, “rich” or merchant-style.” You can use any meat, but the quickest to prepare is chicken casserole with champignons or any other mushrooms. And in terms of the cost of products, this is a very attractive option.
The casserole requires the presence of a base for the filling. For it you can take the following products:
- Potatoes, raw or boiled.
- Boiled rice.
- Buckwheat or pearl barley porridge.
- Cottage cheese.
- Braised cabbage.
- Steamed or boiled vegetables.
- Pieces of bread.

1. Classic chicken and potato casserole
The convenience and simplicity of this dish is that the housewife needs to devote a minimum of time to preparation, and then the oven itself will do everything.
Ingredients:
- 4 medium sized potatoes;
- 300 g chicken fillet;
- 300 g fresh champignons;
- 1 onion;
- 150 g hard cheese;
- 100 g sour cream or heavy cream;
- 1 tsp dried rosemary;
- Vegetable oil – about 50 ml;
- salt, pepper, spices for chicken.
Preparation:
Peel the champignons, trim off the stems, cut into slices, rinse, and pour boiling water over them. Cut the onion into cubes, add to the mushrooms, add salt, mix and leave to marinate.
Cut the fillet into small pieces, salt and sprinkle with spices.
Peel the potatoes and cut into thin rings, grease a mold or baking sheet (multi-cooker bowl) with vegetable oil, place potato slices on the bottom in one layer.
Place the meat on top, brush with half the sour cream, sprinkle with half the cheese.
The next layer is mushrooms and onions.
On top of them is another layer of potatoes, with the rest of the sour cream and cheese on it.
Place in the oven for 1 hour at 200 degrees. The casserole is ready.

- Place tomato slices on top and add salt.
- Then chopped mushrooms.

In egg filling
This potato casserole is also easy to prepare, but the technology is completely different - all components are pre-cooked - fried or stewed.
Ingredients:
- 8 potatoes;
- 200 g chicken breast;
- 200 g of any mushrooms (ceps, champignons, chanterelles, etc.);
- 2 onions;
- vegetable oil;
- 100 g hard cheese;
- salt pepper;
- fresh or dried dill.
For filling:
- a glass of milk;
- half a glass of sour cream;
- 3 eggs;
- salt, spices for chicken.
Preparation:
Peel the potatoes, cut into rings, fry in vegetable oil, add salt and place on the bottom of the mold.
Fry the meat with spices in the same oil and place it on the potatoes.
Fry washed and chopped mushrooms with onions until tender, cover the meat with them.
Make a filling from eggs and milk, pour over the ingredients, sprinkle with herbs, bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees. At the very end, sprinkle with cheese.

Ingredients:
- Chicken fillet 500 gr.
- Tomatoes 2 pcs.
- Hard cheese 150 gr.
- Sour cream 15-20% 200 gr.
- Champignons 300 gr.
- Salt to taste.
- Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. l.
Preparation: Cut the chicken fillet into strips or small pieces. Place in a baking dish; pre-grease the dish with oil. Salt the fillet.
Wash the tomatoes and cut into slices. Place on chicken.
Chop the mushrooms and place on the tomatoes, add salt.
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and mix with sour cream and salt. Place the cheese and sour cream mixture on top of the casserole. This is not in the original recipe, but I beat a couple more eggs into the sour cream, stirred it, and then added the cheese. And I didn’t regret it, it turned out very tasty.
Bake in the oven at 180-200 degrees for 40 minutes, until the chicken is done (look at your oven. Mine stood for about 50 minutes, it turned out great!
Once the casserole is ready, it won’t hold its shape, but it’s very tasty!
And when it cools down, you can no longer serve it in portions, but cut it, enjoy your meal!
Rice casserole with chicken and mushrooms
An original option for dinner, using leftover boiled rice. You can make a casserole with buckwheat using exactly the same recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups boiled rice;
- 200 g fungus;
- 0.5 kg chicken pulp;
- 2 onions;
- 100 g sour cream;
- 100 g milk;
- 2 eggs;
- spices for chicken or a pinch of turmeric;
- sunflower oil.
Preparation:
Finely chop the chicken flesh, add salt, sprinkle with spices and fry in oil until golden brown.
Chop the mushrooms, pour boiling water over them, fry with onions, add sour cream and salt at the end.
Place boiled salted rice on the bottom of a greased form, mushrooms in sour cream on it, and meat on the top layer.
Make a filling from eggs and milk.
Bake the casserole for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
Cottage cheese, chicken, mushrooms
- 200 g boiled chicken meat;
- 200 g cottage cheese;
- 200 g boiled mushrooms;
- salt pepper;
- 3 eggs;
- fresh dill;
- 200 g milk;
- salt, spices to taste.
Preparation:
Grind all boiled products separately into minced meat.
Make a homogeneous mass from eggs, milk and cottage cheese using a blender, add salt and chopped dill.
Mix all types of minced meat with the curd mass, add spices and salt, if necessary.
Bake for 45 minutes at 200 degrees in the oven. It's even easier to make this casserole in a slow cooker.
Potato casserole with cheese
This dish has a simple composition, which must be diluted with garlic and a lot of spices. Also take: 5 potato tubers, salt, 190 g of hard cheese, 2 large country eggs, 6 tbsp. mayonnaise. The amount of garlic is determined by the cook according to taste.
- The cheese is grated, after which half of it is combined with mayonnaise, egg and garlic passed through a press. You can also add salt and pepper to the mixture.
- The potatoes are grated on a coarse grater and combined with the sauce prepared in the first step.
- The mixture is poured into a mold and filled with beaten egg mixed with the remaining cheese.
The readiness of a dish in the oven is determined by its golden crust and appetizing aroma.
