Fish cutlets are a nutritious, but at the same time dietary dish. Mostly they are prepared from minced meat, less often from finely chopped fillet, but there is another way. You can make delicious, hearty meatballs from the preparation. Canned saury cutlets with rice are very tasty.

This dish is economical and, most importantly, easy to prepare, because in order to make minced meat, you can do without a meat grinder. And even novice cooks can cope with the task if they work according to simple instructions.

Tip: to make the dish more tender, pre-cool the canned food.

Recipe for canned saury cutlets with rice

From available ingredients that are found in almost every home, you can prepare a tasty and at the same time simple dish. Let's start with the easiest option, which even a novice housewife can handle.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of saury;
  • 0.5 tbsp. cooked rice;
  • 80 g white bread;
  • 0.5 tbsp. milk;
  • 2 eggs;
  • large onion;
  • salt;
  • pepper;
  • spices;
  • breadcrumbs for breading.

Cooking method:

  1. The first thing to do is separate the bread pulp from the crust and soak it in milk.
  2. Open the jar and remove the fish, which should be mashed with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add boiled rice and mix everything well.
  4. Cut the peeled onion into small cubes and add to the minced meat.
  5. Put eggs, salt and spices there.
  6. Mix everything well and only add soft bread at the very end.
  7. Mix again and the minced meat is ready.
  8. Pour oil into a frying pan and place it on the stove.
  9. Form cutlets, roll them in breadcrumbs and place on hot oil.
  10. Fry for 2 minutes. from each side.
  11. If the heat treatment is long, the cutlets will turn out very dry.

Sardine fish cutlets with rice

It's practically a classic. Such cutlets from canned fish were served in pioneer camps and departmental canteens. They were used to write coursework in culinary colleges and used them to diversify holiday tables.

• high-quality “Sardines in oil” – standard, 250 gr. jar;

• a large head of white onion;

• medium-sized carrot;

• egg;

• a little more than half a glass of dry coarse rice.

1. Remove fish pieces from the jar and carefully select the spine and all small bones.

2. Boil the rice in lightly salted water, drain all the water and, without rinsing, cool, discarding it in a colander.

3. Finely chop the onion with a knife, grate the carrot coarsely. Sauté the vegetables until completely softened in sunflower oil over medium heat and cool.

4. Grind boiled rice, pieces of fish and sautéed vegetables with a meat grinder.

5. Add selected spices to your taste, salt, break the egg and, beating a little, prepare the cutlet mass.

6. Using a spoon, use your hands to form small oblong semi-finished products. Roll them in flour and fry them in vegetable oil until a crust forms, crispy and crispy.

Recipe for canned saury cutlets with rice and potatoes

Having a jar of canned food at home, you can quickly and easily prepare a delicious dish that can be safely served to guests. It goes well with various side dishes, for example, vegetables or mashed potatoes.

Ingredients:

  • a jar of saury;
  • 100 g pre-cooked rice;
  • 3 potatoes;
  • egg;
  • breadcrumbs;
  • salt and pepper;
  • oil for frying.

Cooking method:

  1. First, take care of the potatoes, which need to be washed, put in a pan and filled with hot water.
  2. Place on the stove and boil until soft.
  3. After this, cool and only then clean.
  4. Cut the boiled potatoes into medium-sized cubes.
  5. Drain the oil from the canned food and place the fish on a plate, removing the bones.
  6. Using a meat grinder or blender, grind the potatoes, rice and fish into a homogeneous mass.
  7. Add egg, salt and pepper to it. Mix everything well.
  8. Place a frying pan on the stove and heat the oil.
  9. Form cutlets, roll them in breadcrumbs and fry in hot oil until golden on both sides.

The step-by-step process for preparing the dish in question should look like this:

  1. First you need to boil buckwheat in salted filtered water in proportions of 1 to 2 (where 1 is cereal, and 2 is water).
  2. The finished porridge needs to be cooled and then converted into a puree-like consistency using a blender.
  3. Add egg and wheat flour to the buckwheat, then mix thoroughly.
  4. Carrots and onions need to be peeled, grated and fried in a hot frying pan with a small amount of vegetable oil.
  5. Place the saury in a deep bowl, after draining off the excess oil, then transform the fish into a puree using a fork.
  6. All prepared ingredients must be mixed until a homogeneous consistency is formed, and then salt and season.
  7. Roll the resulting minced meat into cutlets and fry them in a hot frying pan until golden brown on both sides.

Recipe for canned fish cutlets with semolina

Another version of the dish, in which we will use another grain instead of rice. Semolina makes the consistency airy and very tender. To improve and diversify the taste, we suggest cooking with sauce. This dish will appeal to both adults and children.

Ingredients:

  • A can of canned food;
  • 0.5 teaspoons of soda;
  • 3 eggs;
  • 8 tbsp. spoons of semolina;
  • salt;
  • pepper;
  • ground paprika;
  • onion;
  • laurel;
  • 1 liter of water.

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • 3 onions;
  • carrots;
  • tomato paste.

Cooking method:

  1. Open a can of canned food and remove the fish, then use a fork to mash it.
  2. Add salt, spices and semolina to it.
  3. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes, and then add to the minced meat.
  4. Mix everything thoroughly and leave for 30 minutes.
  5. During this time, the cereal will increase in size and fix the minced meat.
  6. Now prepare the sauce, for which you peel the vegetables and cut them into small cubes.
  7. First fry the onion in oil until transparent, then add the carrots and cook until golden.
  8. After this, add the tomato paste and simmer together for a few minutes.
  9. Make small cutlets from the minced meat. Please note that during cooking they will increase in size several times.
  10. Roll them in breadcrumbs and fry on both sides until golden brown.
  11. Take a cauldron or saucepan with a thick bottom and place the preparations there, and pour the sauce on top and pour in water.
  12. Place everything on the stove over low heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  13. After the time has passed, the dish is ready to serve.

Recipe for spicy canned fish cutlets

If you want to cook something original and spicy, then use this recipe. Thanks to the use of various spices, this dish turns out to be very aromatic. Serve it with different spices if desired.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g canned pink salmon;
  • 2 potatoes;
  • onion;
  • 1 tbsp. a spoonful of butter;
  • a clove of garlic;
  • laurel;
  • a pinch of sugar and ginger;
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric;
  • cardamom seeds;
  • chili powder;
  • a little cinnamon;
  • salt;
  • breadcrumbs for breading.

Cooking method:

  1. Chop the peeled onion as finely as possible.
  2. Cut the peeled potatoes into slices and pass the garlic through a press.
  3. Take a large frying pan and heat the vegetable oil there. Fry the onion and garlic on it, and then add the ginger.
  4. The next step is adding potatoes. Fry everything together for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the fish to the pan, which must be mashed with a fork.
  6. Also add turmeric, laurel and 0.5 tbsp. water.
  7. Simmer covered for 20 minutes, then remove the bay and add cardamom.
  8. After the time has passed, turn off the heat and grind the contents of the pan using a blender.
  9. Add salt, sugar, chili and cinnamon.
  10. Mix the mixture thoroughly and form cutlets that need to be rolled in breadcrumbs.
  11. Fry in hot oil on both sides until golden.

Canned fish cutlets with oatmeal

Cutlets are a familiar dish for many people, but if you make some adjustments, you can significantly diversify and improve the taste. You can use different canned food, and the cereal will add originality.

Ingredients:

  • Egg;
  • a can of canned food;
  • onion;
  • 6 tbsp. spoons of instant oatmeal;
  • chopped dill;
  • oil.

Cooking method:

  1. Open the can and drain the oil.
  2. Mash the fish with a fork, after removing the bones.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg thoroughly.
  4. Cut the peeled onion into small cubes.
  5. Combine all prepared ingredients together.
  6. Add flakes and chopped dill, but you can use dried herbs.
  7. Mix the minced meat thoroughly and leave for 20 minutes. During this time, the flakes will swell.
  8. Heat oil in a frying pan, form cutlets and fry them on both sides until golden brown.

Canned salmon cutlets recipe

Salmon is considered a delicacy, even if it is canned, which means that such a dish can be safely served for a holiday. In addition, few people will guess that the cutlets are made from canned food. The prepared ingredients are enough for 4 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 kg of potatoes;
  • 440 g canned salmon;
  • onion;
  • a couple of celery stalks.
  • 1 tbsp. a spoonful of chopped dill and chopped lemon zest;
  • 20 ml lemon juice;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 40 ml milk;
  • 0.5 cups of flour;
  • 2 cups bread crumbs;
  • oil.

Cooking method:

  1. Cut the peeled onion into small cubes and the celery into thin half rings.
  2. Beat the eggs a little, peel the potatoes and cut them into large pieces.
  3. Place them in a saucepan, cover with water, boil until tender and puree.
  4. Remove the salmon and remove any bones, then shred it with a fork.
  5. Add the fish to the puree and add the zest, onion, celery, juice and dill.
  6. Mix everything well until smooth and make 8 cutlets.
  7. Place them in the refrigerator for half an hour.
  8. Mix the egg with milk, and separately combine the flour and bread crumbs.
  9. First roll each cutlet in breading, then dip in the egg mixture and again in breadcrumbs.
