Pour water heated to 35-40 degrees into a bowl, add starter, salt, sugar, butter and stir.
Pour sifted coarse flour into the liquid in small portions. Stir with a spatula. After pouring half the amount, cover the bowl with a towel and leave to stand for 15-20 minutes.
Then also stir in the remaining flour in parts. Knead the dough “wet”, a little sticky to your hands. We divide it into parts and transfer it into molds for further rise.
Place the molds in a warm place and cover the top with a cloth. Leave the bread alone for 1.5-2 hours. It is better to light the oven in advance. We bake whole grain bread at a high temperature of 200 degrees.
Freshly baked bread cannot be cut while it is hot. It is necessary to cool it, otherwise the pulp will stick together.
A quick way to bake bread with whole wheat flour
For those who find the above method of baking whole grain bread without yeast troublesome, there are other methods. You can make unleavened dough using kefir and soda or baking powder.
Nutritionists recommend this bread with the addition of oatmeal or rye flour. This improves the taste of the products and is healthier for the human body.

- 210 grams whole grain flour;
- 110 grams of rye flour;
- 65 grams of oat flour;
- 50 grams of vegetable oil (olive, sunflower);
- 250 ml kefir of any fat content (not fresh);
