Recipe for PP date sweets. Fast, tasty, healthy: date sweets with spices.

Have you ever thought that you can easily prepare chocolate-covered sweets at home in just half an hour? And at the same time they will be very tasty and healthy, especially in the cold season?

These candies can be presented as a gift to a connoisseur of healthy sweets or to please loved ones as a wonderful addition to a cozy tea party. They are especially relevant during the colder months of the year because they contain cinnamon (an antidepressant) and ginger, which have a warming effect and help speed up metabolism.

To make 8 candies you will need:

10 large dates (100 g). Ground ginger - 4 tsp. (8 g). Ground cloves - 1 tsp. (1.6 g). Ground cinnamon - 3 tsp. (4 g). Flax seeds - 3 tsp. (9 g). Dark chocolate 70% (100-150 g).

If you have scales, it is better to measure the spices using them. The quantity and ratio of spices can be varied according to your taste and depending on your constitution.

To prepare the glaze: break a chocolate bar into pieces and melt it in a deep bowl over a water bath (placing the bowl in a saucepan with hot, but not scalding water, covering the top with a warm cloth) or prepare homemade chocolate.

Remove the pits from the dates and mash them into a homogeneous mass. Mix the date mass with spices and flax. Form 8 neat balls from the resulting mass. Place a piece of baking paper on a plate to accommodate the date balls.

Enrobing: Place the date ball on a fork and dip it and the fork into the liquid chocolate (which we started preparing at the very beginning. Then take it out and wait a few seconds for the excess chocolate to drip down. With a light and gentle movement, push the candy from the fork onto the plate with baking paper. Repeat for all other balls. Place the plate with sweets in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.

Sweets made from dates and coconut flakes. Recipe with step-by-step photos

Date and coconut candies can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, so you can make them for future use. But, as a rule, they don’t stay there for more than a couple of days, no matter how much you cook them...

Instructions

Wash the dates under cold water, put them in a plate and pour boiling water over them. You can cover the plate with a lid so that the fruits are properly steamed and become soft.

After 15-20 minutes, you can begin to peel the dates from seeds and stalks. Next you need to turn them into a paste. This can be done in several ways: punch it with a blender, grind it through a meat grinder, or simply rub it through a sieve. In this recipe we used the third option. And, although dates are very reluctant to puree, after just 5 minutes we got a thick, sweet mass. There is no need to get rid of the “cake”! We add everything that did not pass through the holes of the sieve to the general paste.

Then add cocoa and mix the mixture thoroughly.

Then turn the coconut shavings (we will leave 2 tablespoons for decorating the candies).

We make candies from sweet chocolate dough. This will be easy to do by wetting your hands in cold water.

The final stage is to roll each candy in coconut flakes.

Place the treat in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours so that the candies become dense.

Date and coconut candies should be served chilled. They have an amazing chocolate-coconut flavor and are very, very sweet!
