Lavash dishes over a fire are a win-win option for a hot appetizer.

Lavash on the fire is most often filled with cheese and herbs, sometimes adding other ingredients - tomatoes, ham and all kinds of sauces. This is one of the best picnic snacks.
Since lavash with filling bakes very quickly, you can snack on it while the kebab is being prepared. Moreover, you can even offer it to children.

Lavash roll with cheese and herbs
I want to share a simple recipe for making pita bread roll with cheese and herbs. This simple snack turns out very tasty, and is made quickly, from available ingredients. Try making these rolls and I am sure you will like their taste.
To prepare a pita roll with cheese and herbs we will need:
vegetable oil - 2-3 tbsp. l. (for frying).
Prepare ingredients for making rolls. You can take any greens for a snack (parsley, dill and even green onions). By the way, you can also use any cheese, even feta cheese will do.
Grate the processed cheese on a coarse grater. To ensure the cheese is well grated, you can put it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.
Wash and dry the dill, then finely chop. Peel the garlic and pass through a press.
Combine two types of cheese, herbs and garlic. Mix the filling well.
Lightly beat the egg with a fork. Cut the pita bread into squares. Determine the size of the rolls yourself, I prepared small rolls, one might say “to the tooth”.
Place some of the filling on the pita bread.
Wrap the cheese and herb filling in the pita bread into a tight roll.
These are the lavash rolls I made.
Dip the rolls into the egg mixture.
Grease a frying pan with vegetable oil and heat well. Place lavash rolls with cheese and herbs in a frying pan.
Fry on both sides until golden brown.
Serve the finished rolls hot. By the way, they are also good cold. Lavash goes well with cheese and herbs, so this snack is a win-win option.
Bon appetit!

Lavash with cheese and herbs, baked on the grill
What do you usually cook when you go out with friends? Kebabs? Steaks? It's very tasty, I know. But I want to offer you one more recipe that is suitable for the grill. No, this is not an alternative to meat dishes, but an addition to them. But what a wonderful addition! Thin lavash, wrapped in an envelope, with a crispy and delicious crust and melted cheese inside... It's simply delicious! And everything is prepared very, very simply. Want to know exactly how?
Ingredients:
For 2 servings:
- 1 sheet of thin pita bread measuring 40 by 40 cm;
- 3-4 tsp. homemade mayonnaise;
- 100 g hard cheese;
- parsley.
Preparation:
We will need thin pita bread, preferably square. Cut it into 4 squares with a side of 20 cm (this can be done with a regular knife or kitchen scissors).
Apply mayonnaise to each square of pita bread. Using the back of a spoon, spread it over the entire surface.
Three hard cheeses on a medium or coarse grater.
We spread the cheese on a sheet of lavash with mayonnaise, again trying to capture the entire plane of the lavash sheet. Sprinkle finely chopped parsley on top.
We wrap the pita bread, bending it on all sides.
You should get a neat envelope.
We light a fire in the grill. Just like for barbecue, we will need coals. When they are ready, place the lavash envelopes with cheese and herbs on a baking rack. And we cook pita bread on the coals, periodically turning the grill on one side or the other.
In just 4-6 minutes, the pita bread will be ready: its surface will be browned and the cheese inside will melt.
Carefully remove the pita bread with cheese from the grill and place it on a plate. Serve immediately while the pita bread is still warm - it tastes much better this way!
Tips and tricks:
If your pita bread is oval in shape, don’t be upset. Just keep in mind that you will need to wrap it a little differently.
It is best to cook lavash immediately after barbecue: after all, the meat needs more time to fry, and the lavash can cool down. And in those few minutes that the lavash envelopes will be on the grill, the kebab will not have time to cool down.
As a filling, you can use suluguni, feta cheese, and mozzarella, and not just hard cheese. And the greens don’t have to be parsley, anything will do - green onions, basil, and dill... The most important thing is that you like the ingredients of the filling, then you will like the pita bread cooked on the grill.

- 100 g herbs (parsley, green onions, basil)
- 2 tbsp. chopped sun-dried tomatoes

Cooking method:
- Cut the greens and grate the cheese. Mix greens, cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, pepper to taste.
- Cut the lavash sheet into 6 pieces.
- Place the filling in the middle of the pita bread and wrap it up. If desired, brush with melted butter.
- Place on the grill and grill on both sides.

You can add some sauce to the filling, but the pita bread turns out very juicy even without it.
Ingredients:
- 5 sheets of pita bread
- 500 g suluguni
- 3-4 tomatoes
- Large bunch of dill
- Olive oil
Method of preparation:
- Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, chop the dill. Mix greens with suluguni.
- Then chop the tomatoes.
- Sprinkle cheese and dill on the edge of the pita bread. Place tomatoes on top. It is enough to roll the pita bread tightly, being careful not to tear it. Brush the roll with olive oil.
- Grill on a hot grill for about 10 minutes, turning once.

Not just a recipe, but a real masterpiece: Lavash with cheese and grilled tomatoes
Per 100 g - 89.27 kcal, proteins - 3.68, fats - 2.80, carbohydrates - 12.07
Ingredients:
Bunch of dill Tomato 3-4 pcs feta cheese 500g thin lavash
Usually some sauce (usually mayonnaise) is added to pita bread with tomatoes and cheese for juiciness. However, the tomato juice from fresh tomatoes and the fat from slightly melted cheese are enough to keep the pita bread from being dry. So you can do without extra calories. But what you definitely can’t do without is spicy herbs (best of all dill, as in our recipe), which gives the dish an amazingly appetizing smell. It is thanks to herbs that lavash turns out to be especially aromatic.
If you have never baked pita bread with cheese and tomatoes on the grill before at a picnic, do it according to our recipe. Believe me, no one from the company will be disappointed!
We prepare products for pita bread with cheese and tomatoes.
Finely chop 2 small or 1 large bunch of dill and grate half a kilo of cheese on a coarse grater (we took suluguni, but Adyghe, feta cheese, “zdorovye” or any hard cheese of your choice will also work)
Mix grated cheese with chopped dill in one container.
Now cut 3-4 medium red tomatoes into slices. The tomatoes are processed last so that the juice they contain does not drain prematurely.
Unroll the pita bread and place a fifth of the cheese-dill mixture on one edge, and on top of it - a fifth of chopped tomatoes (if you have them, add a few more pickles to the filling, cut, like the tomatoes, into thin semicircles). We do the same with the remaining 4 pita breads.
Wrap the filling tightly, being careful not to tear the thin pita bread.
Place all 5 stuffed pita breads on a wire rack and place in a frying pan to fry for 10 minutes over low heat. If this is a barbecue, then the coals should not be hot; the pita breads can quickly burn, but the cheese inside them will not have time to melt. Don't forget to turn so that the dish browns on both sides!
Baked pita bread with cheese and tomatoes looks amazingly appetizing when cut. Their taste will not disappoint you either.
Bon appetit!
