Useful properties of cabbage

Cabbage stimulates all metabolic processes, has an analgesic and bactericidal effect, and improves immunity. It is recommended for atherosclerosis: dietary fiber removes cholesterol, and vitamins P and C strengthen blood vessels. Cabbage should be included in the diet for diseases of the heart and kidneys (potassium salts remove fluids), cholelithiasis (dietary fiber prevents deposits and the formation of atherosclerotic plaques on the walls of blood vessels and stones in the gall bladder), gastritis with low acidity and constipation. Cabbage protein contains essential amino acids such as methionine, threonine and lysine, which provide the body with growth, tissue repair, hematopoiesis, and normal functioning of the kidneys and thyroid gland. Cabbage is a preventative against cancer and obesity, and also regulates hormonal and endocrine balance .

White cabbage

White cabbage is rich in carotene, fiber, minerals (phosphorus, potassium and calcium), microelements (aluminum, iron, mangenese, zinc), phytoncides, phytohormones and enzymes. It contains few carbohydrates and at the same time contains almost the entire set of vitamins necessary for a person. Vitamin U (methylmethionine) activates the liver and is able to treat colitis, gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers. Vitamin C is contained in white cabbage both in pure form and in a chemically bound form - ascorbigene, due to which it remains unchanged for 7-8 months. There is several times more of it in cabbage than in tangerines, lemons, potatoes, and carrots. The calorie content of white cabbage is only 27 kcal per 100 g.
