How to cook Broccoli and Chicken Casserole

To prepare the broccoli and chicken casserole, we will peel the skins of the potatoes and cut them into cubes.

Separate the broccoli into florets. There is no need to cook broccoli separately. This cabbage cooks very quickly, so it will reach the desired condition already during baking.

To prepare the casserole, use any part of the chicken. Cut the meat into small pieces. I had 4 chicken thighs. I cut them in half and used them to make a casserole.

Combine potatoes, broccoli and chicken. Add spices to taste. Place in a baking dish. I use a fireproof glass pan for these purposes.

Mix sour cream, milk, 2 eggs. Add some salt. We have already added spices to vegetables and meat.

Grate hard cheese. Mix milk mixture with cheese. Pour the resulting mixture over the vegetables and meat. Distribute evenly. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, bake the dish in the oven for about 40 minutes.

Serve the casserole with pickles or fresh vegetables.

How to cook chicken with vegetables in pots (in the oven)

Ingredients:

  • broccoli cabbage - 250 gr.
  • chicken fillet - 250 gr.
  • champignons - 200 gr.
  • sour cream or natural yogurt - 2 tbsp. l.
  • chicken egg - 1 pc.
  • onions - 0.5 pcs.
  • seasoning for chicken, salt and pepper - to taste,
  • hard cheese - 70 gr.

Preparation:

Step 1. Divide the broccoli into florets, which are then cut into small pieces.

If you use frozen broccoli, first defrost it and remove excess liquid by blotting the cabbage florets with a paper towel.

Step 2. Cut the chicken breast into small pieces, season to taste with salt and spices. Stir and let sit for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3. Take baking pots (can be made in one large form) and lay out all the ingredients in layers: first broccoli, sprinkle them with salt and black pepper on top, then a layer of chicken fillet pieces.

Step 4. Slice the champignons and place them on top of the chicken, then sprinkle the dish with finely chopped onions.

Prepare the sauce for the casserole:

Step 5. Mix the grated cheese thoroughly with sour cream (yogurt) and egg.

Step 6. Pour the sauce over the meat and vegetables and place the pots in a preheated oven (up to 180-200°C) for 35-40 minutes.

Juicy casserole

The easiest way is in the oven with the products in a delicate milk-egg sauce. In this case, for work you will need a certain set of basic ingredients: 500 grams of broccoli (2-3 inflorescences), 2 eggs, 300 grams of chicken breast, onion, half a glass of milk, 50 grams of semolina, a little salt, 15-20 grams of vegetable oil and 30 grams creamy.

You need to cook broccoli in the oven with chicken in several steps:

  1. First of all, the cabbage inflorescences must be washed and then boiled for 2-3 minutes in slightly salted water. This will make the vegetable softer and prevent it from crunching after baking. The inflorescences treated in this way should be placed in a colander and allowed to cool well.
  2. At this time, in a hot frying pan, fry the pre-chopped onion in butter. This will take no more than 1-2 minutes.
  3. Place the chicken breast cut into pieces in a frying pan, add a little vegetable oil and fry the products together for another 3-4 minutes. The end of the process can be monitored by a change in the color of the meat (it should lighten). After this, the products must be salted and immediately removed from the heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, thoroughly beat the eggs with milk.

  7. After this, pour the browned chicken and boiled broccoli into the frying pan, sprinkle them with pepper, salt, grated cheese, and then place them in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
  8. As soon as the holiday treat is ready, serve it immediately. It tastes much better warm, so your guests will lick their fingers after every bite of the casserole.

Ingredients:

  • Raw chicken breast – 200 g
  • Broccoli or cauliflower - 300 g
  • Chicken eggs - 4 pcs
  • Low-fat cheese (I use 17% or 22%) - 75 g
  • Green onion – 50 g
  • Salt, spices - to taste

Preparation:

I use silicone molds for protein and vegetable casseroles. They do not need to be greased with oil, which reduces the calorie content of the dish and makes the casserole itself look great.

I preheat the oven to 180-190 degrees. While the heating process is going on, I prepare everything I need.

  1. I dip broccoli or cauliflower florets into boiling water in a colander for 2 minutes and remove. The process of blanching the cabbage takes place. You shouldn’t hold it for longer than 2 minutes because... the cabbage will become excessively soft. I leave it in the duster so that the water completely runs out.
  2. I use cheese with a minimum amount of fat. I grate it.
  3. I cut the chicken into small pieces.
  4. I chop the green onions.
