3 teaspoons 100% cocoa powder. 1 apple. 1 banana. 3 eggs. Only if you have everything you can start cooking. We rinse the oatmeal (the same as for porridge) and leave it to swell. Grate an apple and a banana into a bowl (on a medium grater so that it’s not quite a paste. Add eggs to the bowl and mix it all. Add cocoa powder and mix again.


Gradually pour the already swollen Oatmeal into the bowl and mix it all very, very thoroughly so that the mass is as homogeneous as possible. Place the resulting mixture in a baking dish and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake the cake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes. Let the cake cool well and only then remove it from the mold (otherwise it may fall apart. Then put it in the refrigerator. It’s tastier to eat the next day.

It would seem that such a simple dish as oatmeal, cooked from ordinary “Hercules”, will not surprise anyone for a long time. But nevertheless, it is precisely this that is a frequent item on the morning menu in many families. Even aristocrats (including royalty) often start their day with oatmeal. And if you supplement it with sweet juicy fresh fruits or dried fruits, then you simply cannot find a tastier and healthier dish. This fruit oatmeal is much easier to prepare in a slow cooker than in a saucepan on a regular stove. After all, there is no need to monitor the cooking process; the miracle device does everything itself. But cooking the same porridge on the stove requires close and almost every minute attention. And it turns out more tender in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

— oat flakes (“Hercules”) — 1 multi-glass (70 gr.); - granulated sugar or honey - to taste (about a teaspoon); - salt - 2 pinches; — water and milk — 1.5 multi-glasses each (210 g each); — butter — 30 gr.; - apple and banana - 100 g each.

Note: Additives such as ground cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla sugar, citrus zest, ginger, and dried fruits will help make oatmeal even more appetizing and aromatic. If you want to make oatmeal completely dietary, exclude butter and sugar. If you want to get lean porridge, use only water (that is, cook without milk).

Yield: 3 modest servings.

Cooking time: 40 minutes.

How to cook oatmeal with fruit in a slow cooker

Rinse the apple, cut out the core and cut into thin (maximum 3 mm thick) small pieces of any shape. If desired, remove the peel from the fruit. Peel the banana and chop it finely.

Place the prepared fruits in a multicooker bowl, add dry oatmeal along with spices (salt and granulated sugar) and a piece of butter.

Pour a mixture of water and milk over all products and mix.

Now all that remains to be done is to close the lid and turn on the multicooker in the “Milk porridge” mode for 35 minutes. When the device notifies you that its work has completed, leave it closed for literally 10 minutes so that the oatmeal can brew. Then open the multicooker and stir the contents of the bowl.

Oatmeal with apples: recipe

We will need a glass of oatmeal, 2 - 3 apples, half a teaspoon of sea or Himalayan salt and 2 - 2.5 glasses of water.

Before cooking, do not forget to place the oatmeal in water for 7 hours, adding a few drops of lemon juice or vinegar, for example, apple or rice vinegar. Remember that oatmeal, like all whole grain cereals, contains phytic acid salts, which interfere with the absorption of minerals. Therefore, to neutralize phytic acid, it is necessary to follow simple safety measures.

Before cooking, rinse the oatmeal under running water, drain in a colander, and when the water has drained, transfer to a saucepan. Fill with hot, maybe even boiling, water and place on high heat. Stir with a wooden spatula, running it along the bottom so that the porridge does not burn. It will take a long time to cook - 15 - 20 minutes if you bought the “correct” coarse oatmeal. When the water boils, reduce the heat so that the porridge can simmer quietly and add salt. Continuing to stir it, prepare fresh apples.

Apples need to be peeled, cored and cut into large cubes. Let's add these pieces to the porridge just before it's ready. Then they will remain firm and blend well with the soft oatmeal.

How do we achieve healthy sweetness?

We do not use sugar: the oatmeal will acquire a sweet taste thanks to the apple pieces.

By the way, as for sugar, in a healthy diet this product is an undesirable element, that is, not healthy. After all, sugar is “empty” calories that lack vitamins and minerals. It gives sweetness, but does not bring benefits, and its absorption consumes reserves of valuable nutrients from the body. In addition, sugar generally has a negative effect on our health.
