Summer has come, and with it the first berries. It's strawberry season now. True, the rains that fall almost every day have done their job. There are a lot of strawberries, they are large, but there is not enough sweetness in them. Still, this does not interfere with enjoying this tasty and healthy berry.
Today I want to offer you a recipe for strawberry and banana puffs. I don’t know about you, but we really like puff pastry made from puff pastry without yeast, they cook quickly, they turn out delicious, and you can make a variety of fillings.
Of course, you can prepare such dough yourself, but this is quite a time-consuming task and if there is a good alternative, then why not use it. Ready-made puff pastry is sold in any supermarket, it comes with yeast and without yeast. As you already understood, today we will use the latter.
As I already said, our strawberries are sour this year and, in order not to add a lot of sugar, I decided to add a banana; I think this will not spoil the taste of the strawberries, but will only add pleasant notes. But you can make puff pastries only with strawberries, decide for yourself.
Puff pastries with strawberries and banana: composition, calorie content and nutritional value per 100 g
To prepare strawberry and banana puff pastry, we will need the following ingredients: ready-made puff pastry, fresh strawberries, banana, potato starch, sugar, chicken egg (yolk only) and confectionery sprinkles as desired (I used colored sugar).
Wash the strawberries, dry them, remove the stems and cut each berry in half.
Peel the banana and cut into thin slices.
Cut the finished puff pastry (thawed if it was previously frozen) into five rectangles. We divide each rectangle in half by eye. We cut each half of the dough using a special device into a wire rack, or we do it with a regular sharp knife.
Place all five rectangular pieces for future layers on baking parchment. Place banana slices on the other halves of each dough rectangle. Sprinkle them with a small amount of potato starch. Subsequently, starch will prevent strawberry juice from soaking the dough from the inside.
Next, place the strawberry halves on the banana slices. Sprinkle strawberries with sugar.

Strawberry Layer Pie
If you want something tasty and unusual and have ripe strawberries in the refrigerator, then it’s time to make a layered berry pie.
You will need:
- 500 grams – ready-made puff pastry
- 400 grams – strawberries
- 15 grams – almond petals
- Tablespoon - flour
- 140 grams – butter
- 50 grams – almonds
- 3 tablespoons – lemon zest
- egg
- 100 grams – powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons – liqueur
- Teaspoon – vanilla
- Fresh mint
How to cook:
1. The dough must be thawed and lightly rolled out. Circles of different diameters are cut out of each plate, for example, 24 and 22 cm or 22 and 20. Everything is at your discretion! A small circle is laid out in the center of the large one. Next, transfer the dough piece onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. The workpiece is baked for about fifteen minutes at 180 degrees.
2. During this time the dough will rise, but will not have time to brown. Remove it from the oven and press the center well into a small circle with a spoon. It is necessary to retreat approximately 1 cm from the edge. It turns out to be a basket, which we will then fill with cream. The finished basket is removed from the baking sheet and cooled.
3. Next, you can start preparing the cream. At the same time, combine butter, sugar, ground almonds, sugar, flour, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, liqueur, and egg. Whisk the ingredients until smooth. If the cream turns out liquid, you can add a little flour. The cream is placed in the recess of our puff pastry.
4. Strawberries are cut into quarters, and small berries - in half. Place strawberries on top of the cream. Sprinkle almond petals on top.
5. Bake the cake for fifteen minutes at 180 degrees. After this, cover it with foil and continue baking for another twenty minutes at a temperature of 150 degrees. You can add powdered sugar on top of the treat and garnish with fresh mint.

Strawberries and chocolate are a fairly popular combination that is used in many desserts. We bring to your attention a recipe for puff pastries, where this tandem is given a central place.
Ingredients
- Yeast-free puff pastry – 0.5 kg;
- Chocolate – 1 bar;
- Fresh strawberries – 200 g;
- Cream – 50 ml;
- Chicken egg – 1 piece;
- Wheat flour - for defrosting dough.
How to make strawberry puff pastry from puff pastry
To begin with, it should be noted that chocolate can be absolutely anything. If you don't like too sweet treats, then take the black one. For true sweet tooths, a bar of milk chocolate is suitable.
