How to bake fish pie in the oven using yeast dough

Before you start baking, you need to decide on the fish. What fish is best for pie? Here opinions can be very different, as well as tastes. However, it is definitely better to take fattier varieties for baking, then the baked goods will turn out especially tasty and the filling will be juicy. It is preferable to choose those specimens that have few bones. And it’s even better if it’s fillet. If you can’t buy fillet, cook it yourself by cutting out the backbone and removing the rib bones.

Among the fattier sea varieties, there may be mackerel, herring, pollock, sea trout, halibut, sea bass, and tuna. Among river and lake fish, salmon, trout, sturgeon, burbot, and catfish are considered the fattest.

If you were unable to stock up on such fish, you can take less fatty ones, such as pink salmon, pollock, haddock, cod, and from river fish - pike perch, sterlet, pike, etc. And since they are a little dry, pieces are placed in the filling for juiciness oil or fried onion in oil.
